The Chief Accountant will be responsible for the oversight of select accounting processes at the hotel. Systems administration; Bank and G/L account reconciliations; inventories; credit card reconciliation; assist with monthly finance closings, running/evaluating finance/accounting reports including labor; time and attendance reports.

A significant part of the Chief Accountant role will consist of Productivity Program Leader & Champion:

§ Conduct weekly productivity meetings

§ Work with operating departments to ensure managers are staying within their labor thresholds

§ Reconcile outside labor hours weekly and record in the Time & Attendance System (Dimensions)

§ Maintain reports and feed into labor dashboard

Qualifications

• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
• Refined verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Strong PC skills including Excel, Word, and financial accounting system use (Oracle Preferred)
• Comfortable using Oracle, Birchstreet Purchasing, and Opera or similar systems
• Minimum 2 years accounting management experience
• Productivity processes analytical skills preferred
• Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line
