Senior Mortgage Default Specialist – Collections Department
Location: South Bend, IN

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Mortgage Default Specialist to join our Collections Department in South Bend, IN. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of mortgage default, including collections, loss mitigation, bankruptcy and foreclosures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with borrowers, investors, insurers, real estate agents, and internal servicing teams to process loss prevention solutions, including various loss mitigation options.
• Manage bankruptcy and foreclosure processes from initiation to resolution in coordination with designated attorneys.
• Handle government and mortgage reporting for investors and the internal mortgage accounting team.
• Ensure completion of all required compliance training and maintain adherence to investor guidelines (FHA, VA, FNMA, GNMA, Freddie Mac).
• Conduct outbound and inbound collection calls and issue required default notices.
• Utilize Ice Mortgage Technology (formerly Black Knight) proficiently.

Qualifications:

• 1–3 years of experience in mortgage servicing default.
• Strong understanding of investor guidelines and servicing requirements.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
