Requirements
About the Role
As our Senior Staff Accountant, you’ll play a key role in maintaining ED2’s financial health and integrity. This position goes beyond daytoday accounting—you’ll help guide financial processes, support leadership decisionmaking, and mentor junior team members.

What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
Prepare and review monthly financial statements and reports
Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements
Ensure compliance with GAAP, FERC requirements, and internal policies
Monitor and strengthen internal controls and accounting systems
Coordinate and assist with the annual audit, budget development, and financial planning
Research and resolve complex accounting issues and discrepancies
Serve as a backup and support for payroll, accounts payable, and other accounting functions
Supervise, train, and mentor junior accountants, fostering professional growth
Provide accounting guidance and financial insight to management and other departments
Perform other duties as needed to support ED2’s financial operations
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a seasoned accounting professional who brings both technical skill and a collaborative mindset.
Qualifications include:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting (required)
Five or more years of progressive accounting experience
Strong working knowledge of GAAP
Proficiency with accounting software and financial systems
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problemsolving skills
Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively across teams
Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
Where We’re Located
Our headquarters is located between Casa Grande and Coolidge, Arizona, approximately 45 minutes south of the Phoenix East Valley. This location allows flexibility to live in the Southeast Valley or closer to the rural communities we proudly serve.
