Trainee Accountant Immediate Start

£30,000 + STUDY PACKAGE +Bonus +Benefits

We are seeking a motivated Trainee Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates eager to develop their accounting skills and gain valuable experience in a supportive environment. The successful candidate will receive comprehensive training to become a qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA).

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the production and validation of daily trading P&Ls/NAVs.
• Support portfolio pricing activities.
• Capture all trading-related fees accurately.
• Contribute to the month-end process for trading portfolios and entities.
• Aid in tax analysis and reporting related to trading activities.
• Assist with audit cycles and related tasks.
• Prepare and maintain accruals and prepayments schedules.
• Help in the preparation of management accounts.
• Work on process improvement initiatives and enhance controls.

Requirements:

• A keen understanding of core liquid products and trading mechanisms (e.g., cash equities, equity swaps, FX, listed equity options, bonds, ETFs).
• Strong numeracy skills and a desire to learn.
• Excellent communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Effective time management and prioritization skills.
• Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
• Strong analytical skills for identifying variances and flagging issues.
• Willingness to tackle additional queries and ad hoc projects.

• Educational Background:
  
  
  • Relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (preferred).
• Understanding of Financial Products:
  
  
  • Basic knowledge of core liquid products and how they are traded (e.g., cash equities, equity swaps, FX, bonds, ETFs).
• Numeracy Skills:
  
  
  • Strong mathematical abilities for accurate financial analysis.
