We're seeking a Senior Service Charge Accountant to oversee a broad range of service charge activities, ensuring all information is accurate, compliant, and delivered on time. You will be responsible for managing annual budgets and actuals, partnering closely with operational teams, and ensuring a high standard of data integrity across the business. This role offers the opportunity to have a real impact, combining analytical responsibilities with a business partnering remit. What You'll Be Doing • Producing annual service charge estimates at unit level, ensuring accuracy and alignment with stakeholder expectations.
• Gaining budget sign-off from relevant business owners and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidance and internal thresholds.
• Leading the delivery of annual service charge actual statements to residents, ensuring that all requirements under Section 20B rules are met.
• Completing monthly and quarterly reporting on service charge performance, including variance analysis against budget and forecast.
• Business partnering with internal teams, challenging data quality and ensuring robust financial information is delivered across departments.
• Ensuring all service charge reports and statements are completed on schedule and meet quality standards.
About You You'll bring a combination of technical expertise and collaborative approach, along with: • Proven experience in service charge finance within the housing sector.
• Confident user of Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data manipulation.
• Ability to analyse and interpret data in both detail and broader context.
• Strong communication and business partnering skills, able to build relationships and influence outcomes effectively.
• A track record of delivering accurate service charge budgets, actuals, and forecasts.
• Excellent organisation and time management, with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
