The Role: Senior Accountant
We are looking for a Senior Accountant who will report to the Accounting Manager. This position works closely with foreign business partners, functional partners, and will have exposure to EXSIF's CFO and parent company. The position is responsible for ensuring all management and parent company financial reporting is prepared accurately and timely and in compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies. Hybrid position one day(Tuesdays) in the Chicago office.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly financial analysis.
Accounting for foreign branch offices and communications with local staff at branch offices.
Review reporting schedules prepared by domestic and foreign business partners for accuracy.
Preparation and analysis of monthly Product and Segment Reports.
Assist with recurring parent company deliverables, such as monthly/quarterly financial and tax reporting.
Preparation of SG&A and operational accruals and management reporting materials
Interpret, analyze, and communicate financial information, such as variance analysis, clearly and concisely.
Ensure appropriate internal controls are in place and are effective.
Evaluate accounting processes, controls, and reporting for continuous improvement opportunities.
Support internal and external audits.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting - CPA preferred
Minimum of 6 years of accounting experience - combined public and private experience preferred
Experience with month-end close and financial/business analytics
Global accounting and operations experience, including foreign currency accounting is a plus
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
Process-oriented with a passion for developing best practice
Proven IT skills including experience with Power Queries and databases
Solid computer skills, including MS Office Suite, Excel proficient (VLOOKUP's, Sum-ifs, and Pivot tables, etc.)
Experience with multi-national entity work environment and foreign exchange matters (preferred)
Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics (preferred)
Experience with Once Stream consolidation platform (plus)
Experience with designing and creating reports in the Microsoft Dynamics report writer (preferred)
Pay Range: $103,500-$126,500
