Requirements
What You Bring: Experience
A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field - or equivalent hands-on experience that proves you know your way around the books.
Prior work in a product-based environment (e-commerce, retail, manufacturing, or logistics) where you've handled the volume and complexity of a fast-moving operation.
A track record of full-cycle accounting ownership - month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting done by your own hands, not delegated.
Hard Skills
QuickBooks power user - you can navigate the GL on day one without training wheels.
Strong Excel skills - pivots, lookups, and multi-tab models are second nature; bonus points for Power Query or macros.
High-volume reconciliation experience - bank, credit card, and payment processor (PayPal, Stripe, Amex) reconciliations tied to thousands of daily transactions.
Inventory and landed cost familiarity - you understand what it takes to track product through a global supply chain.
AI & automation mindset - you'll be the one bringing AI into our finance function, using tools like ChatGPT, Power Query, and automation platforms to eliminate manual reconciliations, speed up month-end close, and turn repetitive tasks into one-click workflows. If you've ever looked at a spreadsheet process and thought "this should be automated," you'll fit right in.
Soft Skills
Self-driver - you organize your own day-to-day, set your own priorities, and don't wait for a task list every morning.
Clear communicator - you keep teammates in the loop without being prompted.
Curious and improvement-minded - you spot inefficiencies and fix them rather than working around them.
Comfortable with pace - TCG ships 2.5 million personalized products a day; you thrive when things move fast.
