What role will you play?
As Manager in the Credit and Insurance Risk team, you will support the development and implementation of risk strategy for Macquarie Asset Management's Insurance businesses. You will provide advisory and guidance on risk management frameworks and policy, assist with incident management and operational risk investigations, and prepare risk reporting for Senior Management and Boards. You will contribute to divisional risk assessments, conduct deep dive reviews of internal controls, and prepare risk training materials. Your role will also involve supporting presentations to investors and external stakeholders, working closely with the Global Risk Lead for Insurance and business teams.
What you offer
At least 5-6 years of relevant experience in developing or executing non-financial risk management frameworks, ideally within an alternative investment manager, fixed income manager, or insurance company
Proven ability to perform in a fast-paced, output-focused environment as a well-organised self-starter with a flexible, can-do attitude
Experience and exposure to derivatives trading, trading environments, and technology
No prior actuarial experience is required; however a good understanding of modelling mechanics will set you apart from other applicants.
Comfortable with complexity and new processes, with the ability to think through risks and controls from first principles
Strong understanding of business control environments and technology, with prior experience in risk management, operational risk, or internal audit
Excellent analytical, lateral thinking and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and confidently present to stakeholders
Ability to autonomously lead deep dive risk and control assurance reviews, provide risk advice on projects, and synthesise complex information into key messages
