What You'll Do
As a General Accountant, you'll be the go-to person to manage and provide cost and related tasks to support the various divisions under The Lindy Group umbrella:

Prepare, reconcile and process autopay invoices, including hourly trucking and certain tonnage trucking, material purchases and service providers

Prepare, reconcile and process internal journal entries, including job accruals and internal trucking

Monitor trucking inbox and resolve payment issues, directly with the vendor, for the above invoices

Maintain cost report for small, internal and miscellaneous jobs, including the preparation and submission of related timesheet and customer billings

Post and/or monitor cash receipts for a subset of our companies and serve as a backup for all others

Perform additional reconciliations on a weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly basis to maintain accurate and current accounting cycles

Perform additional assignments per direction of supervisor(s)
What You Bring
Educational and experience requirements include: 4 year business or accounting degree plus minimum 2 years experience or equivalent combinations training and related experience. Working knowledge of general office procedures plus ability to organize and coordinate group work efforts required. Proficient research, supervisory and communicative skills essential. Ability to exercise discretion and judgment in interpreting and applying Company policies and procedures.
A note on the role: while some tasks are administrative, this is not a clerical or data-entry position. We're looking for someone who brings discretion, independent judgment, and a problem-solving mindset to the table.
