With a strong reputation within the Chinese business and investment community, the practice has built an impressive portfolio of high-quality clients including family investment groups, high-net-worth individuals and a select number of SME businesses.The firm's continued success has created an opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant or Client Manager to join the team and play a key role in the next stage of growth. Led by an entrepreneurial Principal, the firm offers a modern and client-focused environment where quality advice and long-term relationships are at the heart of everything they do.
Your new role
Working closely with the Principal, you will manage a portfolio of established clients while providing high-quality compliance and advisory services. This is a hands-on client-facing position that will suit someone confident managing relationships independently and acting as a trusted adviser.Responsibilities will include:

• Managing a portfolio of investment and SME clients
• Preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns
• Providing taxation and business advice to clients
• Building strong relationships with Chinese-speaking and English-speaking clients
• Meeting with clients and managing queries directly
• Identifying opportunities to add value through proactive advice
• Assisting with workflow management and mentoring junior team members where required
• Supporting the continued growth and development of the practice

What you'll need to succeed

CA or CPA qualified, or nearing completion

Previous experience within an Australian public practice accounting firm

Fluent verbal and written communication skills in both Chinese and English

Strong technical knowledge of Australian taxation and accounting principles

Ability to manage client relationships with confidence and professionalism

Experience handling complex client matters with minimal supervision

High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work

A proactive and commercially minded approach
